No a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) or solar lease is not a loan and does not count as personal debt. You’re simply agreeing to purchase clean energy from a corporate renewable utility at a lower, fixed rate.
This arrangement won’t appear on your credit report or affect your debt-to-income ratio. The only exception is if you miss three consecutive payments, which could trigger standard reporting but under normal circumstances, your credit remains completely unaffected.
